My reading biography

Hello everyone!

My name is Lynn and I am going to write several blogs about incredible interesting young adult books I have read and discussed, but first something about reading in my life.

I started reading when I was very young. I can remember stealing my mom’s books on vacation, because I read the cover and was immediately interested. I was also collecting certain series, because I couldn’t get enough of the story and the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading when I was younger and I voluntarily read in different languages, but as I grew older and was obligated to read books at school, I stopped sharing an interest for books. I still like reading, as long as it is not obligated. I have always liked free reading, because a book is like making a movie in your head. You have full control over the appearance of the characters or how the environment looks like. You normally don’t read a book in two hours and that is what I like about it. You can enjoy it for a very long time and in between breaks you can imagine how the story continues or how you would have acted as a character in the book. My favourite book was a Dutch book called ‘’Magiek’’ by Angie Sage. Luckily for me, I found out that this was a series, so I bought all the sequels to this book and I still have them in my room in perfect condition. Unfortunately I don’t read as much as I like these days, because of schoolwork and busy schedules, but I am positive that when I have some free time on my hands I can start reading again.
